Vincent's Weebly
Vincent is most times a reader. He learned to read the same way as everyone else, which was pretty much learn the alphabet, then put the letters together, and then say the words. After Vince did all that, he got told to grab a book and start reading. People read to find some entertainment in life, or they read to just pass the time. Sometimes people read to see what's going on in the world, for example, some people still read newspapers, and they tell you what is happening throughout the world. In order to be a good reader you have to have an imagination, or imagery, as well as you have to be open to some new words and imagine yourself being the main character. What makes reading easy for Vince is that he can sometimes relate to what is being read, and if he can't relate to the words, then another way he makes reading easy for himself is that he envisions what is going on as he is reading. The hardest part of reading for Vince was trying to figure out what some words are and what their definitions mean. Also, sometimes trying to envision what is happening. Choosing a good book for Vince means either he's seen the movie for it, or he has heard the book before. There has to be some action and some suspense here and there in order for Vince to read the book. When Vince is at home, he might read a book once every other two weeks. In general, Vince likes to read, he finds most books to be entertaining and a way to pass the time.
Vincent can be a writer at some points, but most times, not so much. Vince learned to write by putting pencil to paper and writing the letters, and words. People write for many reasons, such as, to express their feelings, sometimes to become famous, or write just for fun. In order to write well, people have to know how to put their feelings and emotions onto the paper that is being written. Vincent likes to write short little stories about events that have happened in recent times, or a few years ago, depending on if they were interesting or not. For Vincent, getting critiqued (in a nice supportive way), helps him to see what areas he could improve in, and what areas he does very well in. At home, Vincent doesn't write very much, but when he does, he'll write short stories that follow one another from events that have happened from a long time ago, to recent events. Overall, Vincent feels that he has very good writing, and very good stories, but then again, there are things that he could improve on, like going into detail, and maybe making sure that some sentences are complete.
