A Raisin in the Sun. The beginning of the final chapter of this school year. It's very surprising to me how fast the school years go by when you are not thinking about it. It seems like it was just yesterday (not literally), that I walked into this classroom for the first time at the beginning of the 2nd trimester of this year. I have grown a whole lot over the span of 2 trimesters. Anyway, back to what I learned over this past week. I learned that it was a very hard life to live back in mid 1900's, especially if were an African American, nothing came easy. I have been shown and I have had this be explained to me from reading the play: A Raisin in the Sun. I know one thing that is certain, and that is, if I have Mr. Schoenborn for English next year, I will continue to grow and learn.
